BEFORE THE CONSULTATION
BEFORE THE CONSULTATION
In this initial phase, I simply recommend that you try to define how much you ideally want to reduce your breasts during the breast reduction procedure. It may seem obvious, but it's important. I also suggest conducting online research to stimulate any questions and further inquiries to be made during the preliminary consultation.
THE CONSULTATION
THE CONSULTATION
After listening to you and examining you, I will be able to explain what realistic outcome to aim for. Only if this aligns with your expectations can we proceed with the breast reduction surgery. This is the moment when I will explain how the procedure will be performed in detail. By the time you leave my office, everything should be clear to you.
BEFORE THE SURGERY
BEFORE THE SURGERY
You will now undergo preoperative tests to prepare for the breast reduction surgery: blood tests, ultrasound or mammography, electrocardiogram. And this is also the right time to clarify any remaining doubts. Either over the phone or with a second visit.

THE SURGERY
The preoperative markings made immediately before surgery will give you a better understanding of how much breast tissue I will remove. For breast reduction surgery, you will be in the operating room for 2-3 hours. Discharge, in most cases, occurs on the same day. I do not use drains, but rather compressive elastic bands that you will wear for one week.

AFTER THE SURGERY
You should know that despite being a fairly invasive procedure, it is usually not very painful. You will have scheduled appointments for your postoperative check-ups starting from one week after the surgery. It is during these appointments that we will see together the changes between before and after the breast reduction surgery. The scars will settle and fade within 10-12 months. You can return to sedentary work within 1 week. For sports activities done with intensity, you need to be patient: at least 2 months.
